Environmental Assessments
Environmental
Assessments are often required when development of
land is proposed. K2S Engineering provides an assessment
through academic research, site visit(s) and data
collection. NRCS soil surveys, GIS maps, historical
land use references, and non game heritage resource
evaluation are utilized to gather academic information.
Data collection often coincides with a field visit
to dig test pits, take digital photos, and determine
habitat losses and other possible impacts. K2S will
help determine possible management practices and protocols
that will help mitigate and/or minimize the impacts
the development will incur.

Wetland Delineation
Wetland
delineations are required by government agencies to
determine boundaries and acreage of wetland areas
whenever development is involved in an area that contains
wetlands. K2S Engineering provides this service with
a field visit by an Environmental Specialist, trained
in accordance to US Army Corps of Engineers standards.
The specialist will flag the boundaries of wetland
areas using USACOE procedural data collection protocol,
survey if needed, and compile a report to be approved
by the Local Governing Unit.

Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan
SWPPP
(Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) Designs are
required when the runoff from a project may contaminate
the water of surrounding watersheds. K2S Engineering
provides design services using AUTO CAD software to
develop the an overall site plan with diversion ditches
and sediment basins, and determine practices to minimize
the impacts on the water quality.
